Giffer! Privacy Policy
The Giffer! Privacy Policy describes how Giffer! treats personal information when you use the Giffer! app (the "Service") and the Giffer! web site (the "Site").
What Information Is Collected?
The information that is collected when you use the Service is your device's UDID number and IP address. Information that is collected while using the Site includes your IP address, computer operating system, browser version and language setting, screen resolution, and referring URL. This information is used to help diagnose server issues, to provide statistics/usage traffic information, and to stop malicious behavior when using the Service.
While using Giffer!, information about your usage of the Service may be captured, such as clicking/tapping on UI elements in the Service. To that end, in order to aid in improving the Giffer! experience, Giffer! makes use of the Flurry API, which may place a tag (also called a "web beacon") on your device or browser. After submitting information via the support contact form on the Site, none of the information will be shared with any third parties with the exception in complying with court orders, subpoenas, or regulatory obligations, or when otherwise required to do so by law, including suspected fraud, and/or situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person.
Content Shared using the Service
The Service makes use of third party sharing services including but not limited to gifshack, Twitter, Facebook, and Tumblr. The privacy notices of these web sites or services govern the use of your personal information associated with them. Giffer! is not responsible for the privacy policies or your adherence to the terms of use on these services. You agree that submitting any personal information to any and/or all of these services in conjunction with Giffer!, even if voluntarily disclosed, is your responsibility. You are also encouraged to review the Terms of Use.
Uses
The Site and the Service employ the use of "cookies," web beacons, and log file information to: (a) store information so that you will not have to re-enter it during your next session; (b) monitor aggregate metrics such as total number of visitors and pages viewed; and (c) track your submissions and activity (eg: how many frames each GIF contains, how many GIFs have been shared, etc). This information is solely used to improve the Service.
Information That is Publicly Available
Any images that you submit to the Service may be redistributed through the internet and other media channels, including those mentioned in "Content Shared using the Service" and may be viewed by other Giffer! users and the general public.
Cancellation/Termination
Giffer! may ban your device ID and/or IP address from using the Service, for any reason at its sole discretion without prior notice. In addition, you may remove the app from your iOS device at any time.
